The course is divided into two semesters. The first semester focuses on building strong fundamentals in computer systems and applications. Students are also introduced to typing skills and basic troubleshooting.
The course then moves into the core programming and database section with modules on C Programming, Python Basics, and MySQL Database Management. The students are trained in basic logic building, syntax, and developing simple programs and queries. Alongside, training is also provided in HTML and CSS for understanding web design basics.
In the second semester, the focus shifts to advanced concepts including Web Development using JavaScript and PHP, Advanced Python, and Java. Students also learn about Computer Networking, Cyber Security Fundamentals, Data Structures, and Software Engineering Concepts. Special attention is given to practical implementation through lab sessions, real-world mini projects, and group activities. The semester includes a dedicated module on Tally with GST for those interested in accounting software, and Digital Marketing Basics for enhancing online skills.
The course concludes with a final project and viva voce, where students develop a complete software or web-based application using the technologies learned. Internship support and placement guidance are also part of the curriculum. On successful completion, students are awarded an Advanced Diploma in Computer Applications, preparing them for various roles such as computer operator, programmer, web developer, IT assistant, or further academic and professional opportunities in the IT field.
To be eligible for admission to the Advanced Diploma in Computer Applications, the candidate must have successfully completed at least 10+2 (Higher Secondary) education from a recognized board in any stream—Science, Commerce, or Arts. While prior knowledge of computers is helpful, it is not mandatory, making the course accessible even to beginners. There is no upper age limit, allowing students, working professionals, or job seekers from all age groups to apply.
